Sofea's spices artwork and science project

I checked sofea's school bag n i found this. When asked, she said she's doing it at school. Teacher yg buatkan semua, dia just amik spices n placed them on the paper. 

Rupanya dah berapa hari dalam beg. Masa check aritu tak perasan pun kad tu ada kat bahagian bawah. 

This one is her first plant. Time balik sekolah tu tengok dia bawa cawan ni. Hmm, as a science teacher i pun story mory la sket2 tentang carbon dioxide, water, sunlight n photosynthesis. Photosynthesis ok! Science form2 tu..

She was like...apa mommy cakap tu? Fosis eh..

carbon side tu apa? 

Fuhh jenuh jugak nak simplify cerita kasi dia faham. Dia takla faham sepenuhnya, but she knows that plant needs carbon dioxide, water, and sunlight to survive. Dan semuanya, kuasa Allah S.W.T.

Haha.. fosis pun fosis la dear. Barula inquiry-based learning kan. 

Happy 3rd Birthday Sofea !!!

Assalamualaikum n hello everyone. (if there is.haha). It feels a little awkward to write a new post like i used to do previously. Sejak pregnantkan Dania i dah x active langsung in blogging. With all the sickness and fatigue..it drained all the energy n emotions. I rasa pregnant mom yang pernah alami simptom2 tu faham la kan. Sampai boleh jadi anti dgn laptop n hp. Haha.

So yeah..i am now feeling more comfortable and a little excited to blog macam dulu2. (hopefully). Thanx for reading my blog all these while. And today, i have a wonderful news to tell. Our Sofea is officially 3 years old. Alhamdulillah. Yes it's her birthday peeps. Hehe. May Allah bless you sayang.

She's soo happy when we tell her about her birthday. And she requested Angry Bird as her cake theme. Tak habis2 angry bird tau. But sadly, she also down with a flu. AGAIN. Hmm makan kek with all the mucous la nampaknya. haha. Will upload the photos later k.

As for Dania, she's almost 8 months old, always on the move and busy exploring the world! Not crawling..but more like scooting. I think she'll skip crawling entirely and go straight to walking. Looovve to drop everything off her high chair and very impatient with diaper change. Tell you, she's a real 'flipper'! And a natural cat-napper. Nap mesti kejap2 je. Bunyi bising sket dah terjaga. Haihh ;p

When grandma meets pool:-P

My parents was coming to my house n planning to spend aa few days here.

This evening, my mom was very excited to bring sofea to the swimming pool.

And when my mom got into the water, she's swimming like crazy..though not a good swimmer.hahah. Oh she's the one who's wearing that grey hijab. The one with the orange hijab is my bibik.hehe.

Sebaiklah splash2 sekejap je. Kang ada yang kena marah ngan pak gad pasal tak pakai proper outfit. Kalau setakat bawak or guide kids swimming tak pe pakai biasa2 je masuk air..tapi kalau nak swimming or spend lama2 dalam air kena pakai swim suit.huhu.

Btw, my mom rasa geram sebab dah tak selincah dulu bila swimming.hehe. It's ok mom..yg penting puas hati dapat berendam dalam pool n main2 ngan sofea.hahah..

Teaching sofea swims underwater

well, this is the progress so far..i started introduce her to the pool when she's about 10 months. Not frequent though. Tu pun dah kira lambat. Between 3 - 6 months is a very good time. Wanna know why? Google please...haha. Frankly because they still have natural reflex to swim and not to swallow water. It's the natural ability of every baby. But it's gonna slowly fade away from 6 months onwards.

Macam sofea...she loves water. Tapi sebab i bwk pergi swimming when she's a bit older, dia tak pandai nak swim underwater. Have to learn from the basic like other kids. So sekarang dalam proses nak familiarize dia dengan basic underwater swimming.

What i've learnt from Mr Google..mula2 kena buang rasa takut tu dulu. make it fun. Eg: 123- pour! Tell her we gonna pour the water onto the head, count 1,2,3 n pour. Mula2 memang dia tak suka. Tapi buat for several sessions at least 4 times per week. Time mandi kat rumah pun boleh. hehe. If the baby is not ready yet, never submerge their face/head in the water. This can be very scary n probably will affect them until adult.

Blow the bubbles. Haa yang ni penting untuk ajar dia supaya tak telan air bila swimming. Buatla fun2 sket tiup2 air kat tapak tangan ke, blow bubbles time swimming ke....macam sofea, awal2 i introduce blow bubbles...dia tak nak blow pun. haha. tapi when i count 123..n buat gaya tarik nafas panjang2 n buat gaya tiup angin dia suka plak nak ikut. Cuma lambat sketla dia nak buat tu kat air. Seriously it takes time n patience. Kalau dia tak nak, don't force it. Try lagi nanti2. Normally i buat time sofea mandi kat rumah je. hehe.

When you see progress, boleh start ajar rendam telinga dalam air. Part ni, selalu sofea indirectly belajar time dia swimming by herself in the kids pool. Kdg2 tu, saja2 je dia letak telinga kat air. So bila bwk swimming selalu, lama2 dia tak la rasa alien sangat kan bila air kena kat telinga. Ni pun basic underwater swimming juga.

Hmm okla..yang basic ni pun takes weeks of practices. Yang penting, the frequency of learning. Keep the session short like 30 minutes..but do it several times a week..minimum 4 times a week for a few months.

I pun tengah try ni... jomla try sama2..;)

18 months vaccination

Alhamdulillah..

My little sofea dah kena jab pun. We went to ampang puteri specialist hospital around 3 p.m tadi. Penat tau. I balik2 keje dah kena siap2 nak pi hospital plak. Tak pela. Anything for u baby.;-)

Bukan apa..25 minutes driving manual car ni mmg x syiokla kan. Plak tu byk kereta. Lagila tensen. Mau lenguh2 kaki ni haa. Udahle lenguh kat tempat kerja asyik diri jalan, diri jalan tak habis2. Aihh..cepatla dpt pindah..dekat sket ngan umah. Huhu.

Btw, sofea weighed 11.58 kg. Hehe. The paed said, tengok badan je pun tau berat dia mesti ok. She's an eater. Semua pun sumbatje. Haha. Sofea tak nangis pun kena cucuk tadi. Coz he did very fast. Tak sempat sofea nak menggelabah pun. :-P

When can my baby eats yogurt??

Ya Allah...sofea loves yogurt very much !

Some of my friends ada tanya, when they can introduce yogurt to the baby?

Well, i bukanla expert sangat kan...but after some researches on the internet, i figured that we can introduce as early as 6 months old. But kena tengokla betul2 apa effect pada baby. In case dia ada milk intolerance ke kan.. Kalau ada, maybe pastu dia akan alami vomitting ke, diarrhea ke, abdominal pain ke, ..senang cite cranky n fussy laa.. So kena cepat2 pi bawa check doctor kay.

Also, manala tau ada food allergy ke kan..sebab baby besela...before 1 year old tu kadang2 dgn fruits pun boleh allergy. So kalau lepas makan yogurt ada swelling kat muka ke bibir ke, difficulty breathing ke, rashes ke haaa pun kena cepat2 seek for the doctor la. Huhu.

As for Sofea, i bagi pun bila dah 1 year above tak silap.. I started bagi masa dia ada sakit mulut hari tu. Gum infection. Memang refused makan itu ini, but yogurt baru dia makan. Maybe sebab sejuk and masam sket so kurang rasa sakit mulut tu kan..

And after dah baik sakit tu..yogurt dgn sofea tak dpt dipisahkan.haha..memang every week i kena stock up yogurt kat umah. Plus mylocx pun suka. Hehe.

Cuma, i xpernah bagi yang pasteurized whole-milk yogurts ..i bagi yang fat-free yang bese2 tu and it's actually artificially sweetened which is not very good i think. Nanti nak cari yang whole-milk yogurt sebab baby needs fat callories kan. Tapi takut sofea je la tak suka pasai dia dah syiok dgn flavoured yogurts tuh. huuhu.

Sofea Academy

Eceh...bajet cool la title kat atas tu ek? No la..just inspired by Khan Academy. hehe. Pernah dengar? If not, bolehla try google.hehe.

Just wanna share sofea's clip pointing objects.. A mother always impressed by her child kan. Same goes to me.. At 18 months old, sofea can understand a lot of things.. including pointing objects yang kita minta. Alhamdulillah... i'm so proud of u sayang..

Sofea lambat sket nak cakap kot.. Just boleh bunyikan a few suku kata.. Tapi belum betul2 ada perkataan yang dia boleh sebut. But she can understand if we give simple instruction and simple sentence. Contohnya, bila minta tolong buang sampah dalam tong sampah, ambilkan sejadah or telekong, ambil Al-Quran, tadah tangan bila sebut doa, sit down bila nak minum air, geleng kepala bila tak nak something, and point bila nak something etc.

And sekarang dia dah pandai kalau jumpa sesapa je most of the time dia akan hulur tangan nak salam dulu. Before ni kalau cakap salam baru dia hulur. Hehe. And kalau jumpa strangers dalam lift ke kedai ke..automatic dia gi babai n sengih2 kat orang tu. Haha.

And sofea ni ada sometimes very comfortable dgn sapa2 kat tempat ramai orang. Ada sekali tu kat birthday part Nyang Sofea..dia boleh pergi kat aunty2 mana2 entah and sengih2 salam2 n bila orang cakap2 n usap2 dia..terus gi manja2 letak kepala kat aunty tu..pas tu tuka orang pulak, bila orang offer food kat dia, dia pergi n dengan selambanya terus duduk kat peha aunty tuh. haha. As long as she sees us (me n mylocx) from far. Sampai aunty tu geram sangat ngan dia.. N kata she's like a star..sangat senang ngan sapa2 tapi bahaya sebab kalau tak jaga betul2 takut orang bawa lari. haha. Tula kan..easygoing sangat pun bahaya jugak. Kihkih.

Hmm..kita ni as parents memanglah kalau boleh nak anak kita tu jadi orang pandai, berguna, beriman ye tak? But to achieve that, bukan la as easy as we plan. It's tough being a parent kan? Sama2lah kita struggle and do the best we can to make the dream comes true.

shopping Pumpkin Patch jom!

hehe..i bukan la nak pamper sofea with nice clothes all the time, but seriously irresistable ok bila ada promotion lagi2 memang sofea's getting bigger n taller. Besides, husband sendiri yg bagi link ni kat i kan..ape lagi. Kira green light la tu nak menyopping for the sweetie pie.haha.

btw, i dah sorting baju2 sofea, baju2 i n mylocx yg nak to let go. The good ones tapi dah tak mau maybe nak donate kat Red Crescent Shop kot..Yg seasoned n dah xmau, i packed n letak je kat tempat buang sampah floor kondo ni. Normally, kalau ada pekerja2 yg nak, depa amik.

Hmm btw, aritu kat carrefour ampang ada pekerja suggest masuk pencarian si duta kecil carrefour (carrefour seluruh malaysia) coz kitorang nye resit above rm100 n mmg every week shopping situ kot..n of course la sebab nampak kitorang ada baby yg below 3 years old kan.

I pun isi jela form..tup2 depa call soh dtg photoshoot sabtu ni..turned out sofea's turn is number 1. kihkih.camtu cepat dtg cepat settle la kan. Y dun we just give it a go? Just for fun. =)

sofea at sarah's birthday party

Last Saturday, i ada LDP Training kat skola from 8-12p.m. Penat tau Sabtu pun kena datang. Huhu. We got a few big errands that day. (LDP, meeting house agent, birtday party) So mylocx hantar i pergi skola. Then pukul 12.00p.m he fetched me dengan sofea elok je duduk dlm car seat kat seat depan.kihkih. Selalu kalau ada i car seat tu letak belakang. Then, off to see the agent.

Lepas tengok2 rumah n borak2 ngan agent tu, kitorang pi solat kat surau dekat2 situ. The weather was very hot it's killing me. I yang before tu pakai baju kurung terus tukar baju. (Memang bawak spare sebab ada birthday party to attend.hehe) Then, off we went to Shah Alam.

Hmm..thanx to angah n her husband for inviting us to Sarah's Birthday Party. Location: KFC Extreme Park, Shah Alam.

So we all sampai around 3.30 kot. Sofea slept all the way to Shah Alam. Sampai2 je shy2 n mamai2 gitu. Tapi kejap je. Once she knows what she has to do...dia jadi la lone ranger kat situ. Haha. She enjoys kids company. Tapi bukannya berkawan2 sangat...banyak buat hal sendiri je. Kihkih.

Lepas makan2..ada game for kids. Dgn mommy n daddy nye pun kena main gakla kan?hehe. So comel.

Mommy menang dapat a few presents including that pencil. Sofea terjatuhkan pencil tu n nak amek balik. But baby tu tak nak lepas. So she let go n main tempat lain. Hehe.

Ni game ala2 rebut kerusi la tapi bukan kerusi. It's just the parent kena pusing2 sewaktu muzik dimainkan n need to step on the mark atas lantai tu(selotape mark) bila muzik stop. Sofea main ngan daddy tapi tak lama tu dah kalah.=p

Haa..ni la lone ranger tu. Orang sume makan2 n stay kat parents dia dokla jalan sorang2 at the center tu. Wonder what's in her mind. Hehe

Bila dah round taman sekali, bila dah sampai rumah..pandai plak cari atuk sambil hulur2 tangan minta dukung. So funny tau. Sebab sofea ni memang shy2 gitu dgn orang lelaki. Selalu memang lari n cover2 muka dia kalau ada org lelaki nak dukung. Except for her daddy of course.

Tapi dek kerana motor nye pasal...sanggup pi hulur tangan kat atuk minta dukung,kihkih.so comel.

Hmm...atuk plak excited tgk sofea nak dukung2 ngan dia.last2 hamekkk! 3 kali round okeh.

Haihh syian anak mommy. Dok kl rumah tinggi. N memang xde makna la nak bwk dia jalan2 naik moto plak kan.hehe.

Friday..yeay!

Hi.

It's 1.00 p.m now. I masuk skolah before 2.30 today. Friday kan? Hehe. And yeah. I don't take a shower yet n boleh pulak nak blog time2 camni kan.

Ah never mind la. It's just that..kalau dah friday ni..i ada penyakit malas sket nak gi kerja awal2. N how I wish the day at work will be over a.s.a.p. Haha.

Hmm..sofea demam la. Dah 2 hari. Yesterday the temperature was high. Almost 39 degree C. Huhu. So we brought her to see the doc. Kena masuk ubat through anus utk kurangkan panas. N the doc said tekak agak bengkak. So he prescribed antibiotic n paracetamol utk demam.

I also notice gusi sofea mcm bengkak n merah sket la. Why ek? Risau plak. Maybe that explains y she refused to eat bubur n minum susu pun sket2 je. But today is better. Panas dah kurang sket. N selera sketla nak makan. Pagi tadi poo poo tapi cair la. Huhu. Syian anak mommy.

Well ok la. I've to get ready. Ada lagi nak update ni but later ye..

Sofea & the toothbrush

Wee!!.......... Dah mula tunjuk skill gosok gigi..=p

I bought the toothbrush (Stage 1) last month if i'm not mistaken. I'm a bit regret sebab tak start beli time Sofea 2 bulan. Oh do you know that kita boleh gosok gusi / gigi baby kita as early as 2 months old? Too bad i discovered the fact when sofea was already 1 year old. Huhu. But never mind. I guess it's never too late huh?

It's not easy when you want your active 1 year old baby to follow your instruction. Of course i need to be the toothbrush model...showing her how to use it and trying to brush her teeth afterwards. Most of the times, it's just didn't work out. She would just held the brush tightly in her grip and refused to open her mouth at all. But i thought it's just a matter of time and patience. So i make it as her fun routine...showing her excitedly how to work with that toothbrush. She always laughed heartily looking at my clown action. =p
Sometimes, she's willingly open her mouth and let me brush her teeth though for a very short time.

And today, after taking bath, when i said "Brush your teeth," she definitely reacted to that and put the brush in her mouth and move it back and forth. Hehe. She halted for a second and continue brushing her teeth again. I'm so proud of her.

Hmm. Stage 1 brush ni boleh guna dari 2 bulan sampai 2 tahun. Even belum ada gigi, mothers dah boleh beruskan lidah n gusi baby. Very gently of course. I terfikir pasal berus gigi ni sebab tengok sofea dah boleh makan variety of foods. So kalau tak jaga from now, nanti besar it's gonna be a problem. Ye kan?

Birthday party (Part 3- The birthday girl)

Finally......it's time to share about my little one here.hehe.

On her birthday, sofea tidur nyenyak sgt from 2.00p.m - 3.00p.m. The early guests are coming around 2.30p.m like that. So kenala tunggu si comel mommy ni bangun.Sambil2 tu depa makan2 la dulu kan. Dgn baju gown tula sofea tidur.hehe.

Then, bila dah bangun, mommy bawa sofea out of the room n meet the guests. Sume xsabar nak jumpa anak mommy.AND, to my surprised, this is her reaction...sembamkan muka on my lap n tak berganjak even sikit pun.=p..sampaila daddy amik n dukung barula sofea tgk everybody around.haha.

This photo was taken in the morning. time ni xde guests lagi except wan n atuk sg.besar yg sampai malam sebelumnya.Sofea nye mulut comot makan biscuit.

Ops..she's getting mad sbb we kept putting the hat on her head.haha. Then, mommy pujuk sofea n main bubbles ngan dia.

At first she kindda scared ngn bubbles tu.Tapi kejap je. Tak lama tu sebok dia nak tangkap bubbles tu plak.=p

Sambil2 tu, sofea buat gaya gymnastic dia.ada talent nih.hihi.Gambar nih still in the morning.

This one is so funny. See?Sofea letak kepala ala2manja kat Tok Anjang dia as if it's her daddy.Bila tgk daddy amik gambar dia, she looked up and... oh!Wrong person daa..ape lagi,melalak la sekejap.syian dia.

Then, daddy pun dukung n pujuk2..kasi balloon kat sofea. Kejap je nangis, tu pun slow je suara dia.(memang sofea jarang nangis kuat2).Pastu, barula nak tersengih-sengih si manja tu.Pas je kat daddy gerenti senyap punye.hihi

Sofea ni awal2 je cranky sket kalo ramai orang around her. Dia tak bese ngan large crowd. Tapi bila dah lama2 sket, n ada kids yg main2 ngan dia she'll be fine.Like the photo above, sofea's playing the balloons dgn aunty2 nye.

Mana gambar sofea makan kek?hmm..sadly pada hari kejadian, she refused to eat the cake sbb too many people around. So, the other day, bila mommy bagi je...fuh!laju je makan siap tarik2 tangan mommy nak lagi.Mulut pun as usual la kalo makan cake, mestila comot.Tapi COMEL.hihi.
